HouseSmart Email Nurture

Email 1 — Before drywall

Subject: The smart-home decisions that disappear behind drywall

The most expensive smart-home upgrade is often the one nobody planned before the wall closed.

Power, conduit, network, sensors, equipment space, lighting control, HVAC integration and window treatments all depend on early coordination. Devices can change later. Missing infrastructure is harder to change.

Email 2 — Device versus outcome

Subject: Do not start with the device

“Which camera?” is the wrong first question.

Start with: What does the household need to know? Who should be notified? What requires consent? What happens at night, during an outage or when a guest is present?

Once the outcome and conditions are defined, equipment becomes easier to compare.

Email 3 — AI boundaries

Subject: What should your home never decide by itself?

AI can find patterns, predict comfort, optimize energy and summarize events. But a home also needs clear boundaries.

Define what AI may observe, infer, recommend and control. Preserve manual operation for essential functions. Decide which data stays local and what happens when cloud services disappear.

CTA: Map AI and Privacy Decisions

Email 4 — Builder coordination

Subject: Five trades can create one disconnected home

The electrician, HVAC contractor, security company, network installer and automation integrator can each perform excellent work while producing a poor overall system.

The missing layer is shared requirements, interfaces, responsibility and commissioning.

Email 5 — Failure planning

Subject: Is the house still usable when the internet fails?

An intelligent home should degrade gracefully. Lights, locks, climate and essential controls need defined behaviour during internet, power, platform and subscription failures.

Reliability is not a product feature. It is an architectural decision.

CTA: Build the Failure Map

Email 6 — Direct invitation

Subject: Ready to create the House Intelligence Blueprint?

If your project is approaching design, electrical, low-voltage, HVAC, lighting, millwork or drywall decisions, now is the time to define the home's intelligence.
